I don’t mind an abundance of bloody scenes in horror films, but the problem with Live Feed is all of them are gratuitous and the film doesn’t offer anything other than blood (or sex). The plot is non-existent, the characters are forgettable and the gore is satisfactory… if that’s enough for you, watch it, but I prefer other stuff.

Das Thema liegt irgendwo zwischen Hostel und Carver, die Qualität ist jedoch irgendwo in der Mitte. Live Feed ist eine einfache Ausbeutung, dazu billig und nicht gerade gut gemacht. Den Machern muss jedoch Anerkennung für ihre Hingabe zu diesem Thema gezollt werden - ihr erfolgreicher Versuch, Abscheu bei den Zuschauern hervorzurufen. Die halbdokumentarische Kamera, das schmutzige Hotel, die Besetzung von Perversen, Devianten und sogar Kannibalen und natürlich eine Menge Sex, Gewalt und Blut - das alles trägt zur wahnsinnigen Atmosphäre in der Mitte der Hölle bei, aus der man schwer entkommen kann. Schade, dass der Film anfangs ziemlich langweilt, am Ende spritzt das Blut zwar wie bei einem Ochsen, aber die eigentlichen Taten gehen oft am Bild vorbei. Das Verschlucken der Schlange und das abschließende Abtrennen des Kopfes sind jedoch ziemlich effektvolle Momente.

That's actually the whole movie "Live Feed". It's not a film for the faint-hearted, it's not a film that should entertain everyone. It disgusts, yes, unfortunately maybe even with the quality of the image, which is not given by the wrong format, but simply by the bad camera. This is underscored by the terrible acting performances, which is simply due to the fact that a big studio will not finance this even by mistake. The effort is nice, but only for nice effects and gore tricks, "Live Feed" will not be a masterpiece for me.
