Películas para no dormir: Para entrar a vivir

Eine der gelungensten Folgen der Fernsehserie "Películas para no dormir". Die einstündige Laufzeit ist die optimale Grundlage für die Entfaltung eines wahren Horrors, und so tritt Balagueró von Anfang an aufs Gaspedal und lässt nicht mehr los. Die bedrückende, oft verrückte Atmosphäre im Inneren eines alten Wohnhauses wird durch schnelle Schnitte und eine stark erschütterte Kamera in den intensiven Momenten geschaffen. Der Zuschauer hat das Gefühl, im Zentrum des Geschehens zu stehen und unterstützt die Helden umso mehr, auch wenn sie sich manchmal selbst die Möglichkeit zur Flucht nehmen. Aus der Umgebung des geräumigen Gebäudes wird das Maximum herausgeholt, so dass viele nervenzerreißende Momente sich auch auf dem Balkon oder in einem stecken gebliebenen Aufzug abspielen. Das Ende ist mehr oder weniger standardmäßig, aber der Bösewicht wird makellos ausgewählt, darüber herrscht keine Diskussion. (17.07.2011)

I must give it a full score. It’s truly nerve-wrecking, with a perfect villain, it really worked on me overall, something that doesn’t happen very often. The runtime is right, if it was longer it would need to repeat itself and would get boring. The entire film has a pretty gloomy and depressive tone, making the moments when the characters get a chance to escape all the more shiny. The logic stumbles in some parts, but it can be forgiven thanks to how flawless everything else is. Objectively 80%, but for me it’s 99%. (13.02.2008)

This is proper horror, and considering how low its budget was, it's probably the best horror B-movie I've ever seen. It's basically about a visit to a real estate office that gets "a little" out of control and the craziest part is that it can happen in real life – after this one I'll be on the lookout forever!!! :D The atmosphere is insane, the 60 minute running time is perfect, the dirty and disgusting visuals of the old house only add to the authenticity, the story makes sense and the crazy maniacal psychopath is perhaps the most iconic horror villain of all time. It has its flaws but within the sub-genre it's very good stuff and it will make you swat. An uncomfortable horror film just right for an evening. (27.05.2021)
