Far from as harsh as the advertising campaign suggested. On the contrary - at times surprisingly gentle and friendly towards the main character. The second storyline with the detectives eventually proves to be a dead end, where everything becomes clear to everyone at first glance and where I can't help but laugh at the nonsensical dialogues. The saving grace is the final half hour, where there is tension, scares, and everything I hoped for. Due to many (really many) logical blunders, absurdities, and mistakes, I can only give it two stars. Without Miss Cuthbert, it would probably be even lower, but with her, I would gladly watch a three-hour adaptation of the theory of developmental psychology. (27.07.2007)
