Während Marshall und Lily von ihrem Sohn Marvin auf Trab gehalten werden und Barney und Robin ihre gemeinsame Hochzeit planen, fühlt sich Ted wie das fünfte Rad am Wagen. Vereinsamt sitzt er im MacLarens und denkt über sein darniederliegendes Liebesleben nach. Genau in dieser melancholischen Stimmung erhält Ted Besuch von einer Version seiner selbst und seinem Freund Barney in zwanzig Jahren. Marshall glaubt sich durch Robin um verdiente Lorbeeren gebracht und will Genugtuung. (ORF)

I find this episode utterly pointless. No ties to the main storyline, and the peak of the humor was Marshall finding himself in the women's restroom... Oh well... I will make it to the end of this show, but I never plan on rewatching it. / Lesson learned: When your future self pays a visit, don't sweat the small stuff; focus on the stock market.
