Provinzgirl Andy Sachs übernimmt nach Abschluss ihres Kleinstadt-Colleges einen Job in der New Yorker Modebranche. Als zweiter Assistentin von Miranda Priestly, der einflussreichen Chefredakteurin des führenden Modemagazins 'Runway', stehen ihr karrieremäßig alle Türen offen.
