Děti Pamira

The action takes place in the beginning of 20s in the small village, lost in the high hills of Pamir, where people used to live in almost primal pureness. One day there appears a division of Red Army. Its commander tells the villagers that starting from now on they are going to live according the laws of Soviet regulation. Soon the division leaves, having left only one man. He organises a school for children and happens to be its first teacher. One day news about Lenin's death comes to the village, the teacher has to leave for Horog and the school is closed. Children of the village having been taught that their school, their new life and happy feature are connected with Lenin's name, follow their teacher to the town. (Moscow International Film Festival)
