This is definitely not a perfect movie and it lacks a lot to be perfect, but John Wayne plays his classic character of a man who has emotions, and I simply like that. Additionally, he portrays a man who is trying to gain custody of his daughter, which is simply a good and well-executed theme. It's just that the romantic aspect didn't really work out here. ()
