Sussie is 14. Her father is dead, her mother an alcoholic, and Sussie is sent from one foster-home to another. She provokes, quarrels and goes beyond the limit of what most people can stand. The whole of her delicately-made body is a single appeal for love. But nobody loves Sussie. She says: "I never stay in one place long, am always on the move. If one day I can find someone who loves me to the depths of hell, then I'll stay. She is sent to a house by the sea. If she can't come to terms with the family living there and they can't cope with her the only alternative will be an approved school. (Verleiher-Text)
