Marianne, the daughter of Banker Turner, is a modern woman, driving her car - as well as through her life - with breathtaking speed. Once she runs over a young man in front of her home. It turns out that Leviczky Tibor, injured slightly, is about to be dismissed from the bank as a result of downsizing, but the accident causes him to find unexpected supporters. He makes the acquaintance of the bank governor, Turner Kornél, who takes Tibor to be one of his own circles, although Tibor is merely the son of an insignificant little teacher. A fantastic career is in the making for Tibor, who makes a successful business deal in America, although his uncle is a chauffeur there, employed by the company now becoming Tibor's business partner.
