In May, 1993, artist Stig F. Dahlman is found dead in the cellar of his house in Stockholm. When the police abandon the preliminary investigation and consider the case closed, his best friend starts to carry out his own personal investigation. He wants to find out what really happened to Stig. Intuitively he feels that it could be either murder or suicide. The film develops into a story about the political dreams of the 60's and 70's, the friendship between two men, and betrayal and guilt. There is a painful settling of accounts when the past finally catches up with both Stig F. Dahlman and the investigator. (Verleiher-Text)
