Lily (Ruriko Asaoka, in her third series appearance), seriously ill at a hospital in Okinawa, sends for Tora-san, writing, "I want to see you again before I die." Happily, Lily recovers, and eventually the semi-couple share a room with a young man (Jun Eto) in this 25th entry. Tora-san and Lily argue, but are reunited in Shibamata where Tora-san proposes.
