Smile to the Life is a public service short film about autism. From a medical point of view, autism is a difficult problem to solve. However, through the delicate emotional expression, this film attempts to give keys to the puzzle: “When life becomes a puzzle, only love is the answer.” The film tells the life experience of Xiaoyu’s family centered on him, from resisting, passively accepting, to genuinely accepting that Xiaoyu has been diagnosed with autism. With the efforts of his family and the help of the society, Xiaoyu was eventually accepted by the society and had the opportunity to study and live with ordinary children. (Asean+3 Film Festival)
