Canción a una dama en la sombra

A woman awaits the return of her husband, who enlisted as a Republican at the beginning of the Spanish Civil War. He is exiled to France, where he writes his wife long letters. She reads them to their children by candlelight. These are times of scarcity, inflation and unemployment. After the outbreak of World War II, years go by, but he still does not return. His letters stop arriving, and the woman is left to wonder what happened to him. (Festival cine por mujeres)
