Verweigerung (2023) (S02E09)

Englisch The ninth episode left something to be desired. Despite that, I had a great time throughout because Mickey Haller is always at his best in the courtroom. What irked me, however, was the occasional oversimplification by the creators. While I understand the show's target audience is primarily American, there were moments where I felt patronized as a viewer. Additionally, I couldn't quite grasp why they felt the need to portray the main character's mother as an irritating soap opera actress. A housekeeper (or a maid) wouldn't align with today's politically correct standards? I guess not. / Lesson learned: Never turn down free food. ()

Schatten der Vergangenheit (2023) (S02E10)

Englisch I enjoyed the finale of the second season despite some minor issues (especially the wedding and the overly dramatic mother). I have to give credit where it's due to the creators. I watched with admiration as they navigated themselves out of some tricky situations they'd painted themselves into by making changes to the source material. Admittedly, I couldn't quite picture their take on the events in the garage (okay, maybe I could, but the thought always brought a chuckle), and I really missed the balloons. Nevertheless, they put in a solid effort, which I appreciate. / Lesson learned: The truth often lies beneath the surface. ()
