On December 23, 2015, Spain’s Ministry of Finance published its first ‘List of defaulters’. At number 1 there was a complete stranger: Agapito García Sánchez. This is his story ... and that of a whole country. The documentary reveals García Sánchez as a modern version of the protagonist of Kafka’s ‘The Trial’: a citizen facing the tyranny of the state machinery and its administration.
