Having seen a few Turkish crime dramas, Kin didn't really surprise me. It's not as bad as some people say — it's just distinctively Turkish, and that's something you have to appreciate. I actually found it to be a solid, gritty detective story that leans heavily on emotions, all set against the unique Turkish backdrop, which is brought to life through some impressive cinematography.
