In Moscow, in 1993, Christoph Boekel made a portrait of the people around him. At that time the old communists were rising up for one last time against the new world order. 15 years later, after drastic changes in society, the director meets up once again with his protagonists for this new film. In the intervening years, the witty Rem has died, leaving behind a wife who enjoys reminiscing. But what has happened to Olga, who, back then, had just left her husband and could only find happiness in music? Dima, who in 1993 had just got married, is now divorced and has fallen in love again. Are any of them still interested in contemporary politics? What has become of the lives of the protagonists; what has become of their hopes and dreams? Three generations, who each grew up under completely different circumstances, have their say. (DOK.fest München)
